It’s possible that you’ve never heard of her, but Maria Esther Lovero is a versatile bilingual singer, songwriter/recording artist, who combines hip-pop and folk music to create a unique funky/dancing sonic style with a message. Maria is an actress, producer and director, with more than twenty-five years of experience in show business. Winning awards for dance and pop singing, she became a teen idol in her own rights and filled (sold out) stadiums with fans who could never get enough of her energetic performances and music.

Maria Esther has worked in television, theater and movies. Her TV successes include “Musica en Libertad”, “Todo es Amor”, “Mesa de Noticias”, “Clave de Sol”, “Cara a Cara”. Maria also appeared as a special guest in more than fifty TV shows. Among those are ”Sabados Circulares de Mancera” Canal 13, “Almorzando con Mirtha Legrand” Canal 9, “Sabado de todos” Canal 9, “Hola Susana” Canal 11, “Badia & Co” Canal 9 in Argentina, “Sabados Gigantes” con Don Francisco in Chile. She has also appeared on “The show of Rosita Peru” on Channel 41, New Jersey, “Hola Colombia” in New York, and “El Show de Fernando” AmericaTV, Miami, Fl. She performed and directed her own version of the musical “Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs” and performed in her own musical "Meroloveriando" with actor Carlos Merola. Maria has signed contracts with major record companies (RCA, EMI/Odeon Argentina, a top records seller) with her music covering the top 10 rankings. Included among them are “Si Supieras”, “Volveran las campanas a sonar”, “Amor-Amor”, “Muchacho de la mirada ausente”, “Un blues para Juan”, “Dame amor, Dame vida”, “Es tiempo de volver”,

Due to her successful music and acting career, Maria Esther has traveled the world. Today she resides in United States, where she continues writing, singing, touring the country, and making special appearances for Special Events. These events include Autism Speaks on Stage, Spring and Back to School Bash with South Florida Parenting Magazine, RawArt Gallery Opening, and other music festivals. Maria now owns her own music-label "SonnyLove"; producing, co-producing and recording her music.

 

Her bilingual CD “Singing with a Purpose” “Cantar con un Proposito”, produced and arranged by Maria Esther and Paul Hoyle, Latin Grammy winner (2004), was created with the goal of teaching children respect, peace, compassion, kindness, and the love for oneself and for others. It also focuses on animals and the environment and the true meaning of friendship. Some of the titles are “The Best That You Can Be”, “Come On Everybody, a bailar y a cantar”, “Children of God”, and “Para tener amigos”. The CD also includes Maria Esther’s yoga songs “Don’t Drop the Egg” and “55 MPH”.

In her new CD “Trust yourself, Confia en ti Mismo”, produced and arranged by Maria Esther and Paul Hoyle, she sings for peace in Spanish, English, Italian and Hebrew promoting unity through her music. Some of those titles are “Cultiva la Paz-We Need to Find Peace”, “Señor te Pido-Oh Lord we Beg You”, “Haz tu Parte-Trust Yourself”, and “Laughter & Love” with the collaboration of Paul Hoyle. Her music can be heard on the radio stations of countries like Costa Rica, Colombia, Chile, Uruguay, Peru, Argentina, and USA.

She has begun a new production titled “Tango y Bolero en la Voz de La Lovero” where Maria Esther revives in her own style, the music she grew up with in her native Buenos Aires, Argentina produced and arranged by Paul Hoyle and Maria Esther Lovero. Some of the tangos are “Mi Buenos Aires Querido”, “Nostalgias”, and “El Dia que me Quieras” written and performed by legendary singer Carlos Gardel. The boleros are “Historia de un Amor” and “Besame Mucho”.

Maria Esther is a bilingual Early Childhood Educator, a Creative Movement and Yoga for kids Instructor, a Certified Nurturing Parenting Facilitator,( a program developed by Stephen Bavolek, Ph. D. for the Prevention and Treatment of Child Abuse and Neglect). She has more than fifteen years of experience in the US working with children in many settings, including the theater, private and public schools. Her experience includes working with children with Autism, Down Syndrome and Learning Disabilities. In 2003-2004 she was awarded Outstanding Therapist of the Year for Music & Art by The CBC for Autism and Alternative Approaches, Miami, Fl. She was also awarded recognition for her support of Autism Speaks through her music titled “Singing With a Purpose” (2007).

Maria Esther is an advocate for abused and neglected children and animals. She has produced and performed in a music-video, using her song “Mother” to raise awareness about child and animal abuse and neglect. -Read the interview of a homeless dog here. (Spanish only)
